TUSSLE for MALAYSIANS: BN DECLARED ILLEGAL

TUSSLE for MALAYSIANS: BN DECLARED ILLEGAL

BN DECLARED ILLEGAL

'BN declared illegal'
Sarawak Headhunter Oct 17, 08 4:10pm
Below is my satirical piece based on the Malaysiakini report Gov't declares Hindraf an illegal organisation.Ulu Kanowit: Sarawak Headhunter today declared the Barisan Nasional (BN) an illegal organisation. In a statement to Cyber Jungle News today, Sarawak Headhunter said that the facts and evidence showed that the government was, and is, being used by the BN in a manner detrimental to public order and national security.Labelled a threat to national security, the BN has been banned by Sarawak Headhunter, home minister of the pro-tem government of the Republic of Sarawak (ROS).He issued a statement yesterday declaring BN, which has been advocating racial and racist agendas since its inception, an illegal organisation. The declaration, he said, was a result of monitoring and investigations by the ROS going back to the formation of BN.‘As a result of the investigations, the home ministry, as per its authority under sections 35 and 55 of the People's Government Reform Act 2008, has declared BN unlawful and detrimental to the peace, public order, political, economic and social security and the moral values of Malaysia,’ he said in the statement. ‘I feel that if we don't rein in their activities, they will continue to jeopardise security and public order, and our country's sovereignty, as well as upset the harmony among races.’Sarawak Headhunter said the decision to ban the movement was not made based on only one or two misdemeanours committed by BN, but covered the entire gamut of activities the group had been involved since its organisation.‘These included subversion of the economic policies of the government, thereby causing losses of hundreds of billions of ringgit, economic injustice and instability, subversion of the judiciary, large-scale electoral fraud, including but not limited to vote-buying and ballot-box tampering, gerrymandering and general abuse and manipulation of electoral, legislative and administrative process.‘They have also committed corruption, favouritism, nepotism, cronyism, abuse of power and position, misuse of government machinery, abuse of the law, waste, mismanagement, mis-allocation or wrongful allocation of resources, racial and racist agendas and policies, exclusion and marginalisation of entire communities, discrimination and improper control and manipulation of the mass media.‘There is also their registration of illegal immigrants as citizens, coercion, pressure, force, threat and intimidation of the public through illegal police action, conflicts of interest, breaches of trust and much more.’ ‘They exploited all manner of racial issues to remain in power and which caused an uprising by the people and created disharmony between them and all races.’He added that BN had tried all ways and means, illegal, dirty and underhanded, to support their attempts to get the people to bow to their demands, actions which have tarnished the country's image.‘Considering all the facts and evidence we have, I am satisfied that BN was and is being used in a manner detrimental to public order and national security and the well-being of the nation.’‘We advise the public not to involve themselves in any way with the activities of this unlawful organisation.’

Justice My Ass: By Raja Petra Kamarudin

Petra says, ' Justice My Ass !! ' Here's ANOTHER Reason NON-Malays Should NOT Vote UMNO in Any Future General Elections and Bye-Elections Thursday, June 05, 2008 16:39 Read here from M'sians Unplugged ...Average Non-Malay Malaysians and NON-Malay Bumiputras have LITTLE future for their children and their grandchildren IF they still vote Barisan Nasional which allows UMNO to remain in Government - it was before, it is today, and it will be tomorrow. Excerpts from article by Raja Petra KamarudinbyRaja Petra Kamarudin 'Last month, Umno Johor said that the greatest mistake they made was in giving the non-Malay immigrants citizenship in August 1957. Now that they have been given citizenship they show their ingratitude by voting for the opposition. Yes, non-Malays, even those born in Malaysia, are immigrants. And, being immigrants, they must vote Barisan Nasional. And if they do not vote for Barisan Nasional then they are ungrateful.Yes, voting is your right. This is your right according to the Federal Constitution of Malaysia. Malays can vote for whomsoever they would like to vote for because the Constitution allows them to do so. Malays, therefore, can vote for the opposition. But, if you are non-Malay, then you must vote for Barisan Nasional because you are an immigrant. If you vote for the opposition then you are a traitor, you are ungrateful, and it was a great mistake giving you citizenship in 1957.Tun Dr Mahathir's father was born in INDIA. But Tun Dr Mahathir can vote opposition. He can even oppose Umno like he is doing so now. In fact, he can even become the Prime Minister. He is not an ungrateful immigrant who should be sent back to India. Tian Chua, however, can't oppose Umno. Tian Chua, whose family settled in Malaya long before the Portuguese came in 1511, is an immigrant. And if he is not happy and if he opposes Umno then he should go back to China. And Umno Johor regrets giving Tian Chua citizenship in 1957 but does not regret giving Tun Dr Mahathir citizenship. Why? Because Tun Dr Mahathir is Muslim while Tian Chua is not. But if Tian Chua circumcises and takes on the Muslim name of Musa Bin Susah and marries a Malay woman, then he need not go back to China and Umno does not regret giving him citizenship in 1957.The Malays have a very warped view of justice. Malays practice two standards of justice. There is one standard for the Malays and another for the non-Malays. And 90% of the tax is paid by the NON-Malays and 10% by the Malays, says Tun Dr Mahathir. But 10% of the scholarships must go to the NON-Malays and 90% to the Malays. And when they propose to change this to 40% for the non-Malays and 60% for the Malays, the Malays raise a hue and cry. And they call this justice. And they say Islam is about justice.'JUSTICE MY ASS, MAN !!!!

A CALL TO BN LEADERS TO STOP PRIVATIZING THE GENERAL WORKERS IN THE SCHOOLS

Bad policies are results of bad heads that are affecting the people and putting the country in an unnecessary dire economic hardship. The privatization of the general workers (pembersihan) and the security guards (Jaga) in the schools is utterly a waste of public fund which is meant to provide wealth to certain individuals and political leaders at the expense of public funds and most needed development. Billions of ringgit is drain off to implement this wasteful project which could be used for a more needed projects or programs like upgrading basic infrastructures like school buildings and roads. If we could build a permanent concrete building we can avoid recurring provision of upgrading dilapidated building every now and then which is actually more costly. Towards vision 2020, we anticipate first class mental and physical development in line with our vision to make Malaysia a centre of education excellence of world class standard by the year 2020. The trend is far from a dream come true but a sure nightmare to be witness by our future generations on the 1st January 2020!

What is the purpose of privatization? Is it practical to those organizations with only two staff where the boss is so far away in KK or KL who uses remote control and occasionally comes to the school at the end of the month to ask for signature from the principal to enable him to claim the money? Imagine, these contractors come to see the principal and say, "ok kah dorang kerja? Tolong tengok-tengok dan kasih tau saya nanti saya marah dorang. Itu minyak sekejap saja habis, saya suruh dia beli dulu nanti habis bulan saya bayar." They enslaved the principals and expect us to look after their workers. We have learned that every contractor is granted certain numbers of schools to undertake this project which amount to hundred of thousand a month which sum up to million all over the country every month. Hundreds of poor workers are paid a meager income an average of RM300 per month, whereas a handful of contractors are receiving a blind income of RM12,000 to RM20,000 a month for doing nothing!

Firstly, privatization may work in an organization like the hospital with few hundred staff but it is impractical to privatize an organization with only 2 staff where the boss is far away from the premise. The concept of privatization is to enable the contractors to monitor their workers at all times to ensure maximum performance. But how can they manage their workers if there are so many schools to look after? As a result, these contractors neglected the schools workers sometimes going without pay, insurance and EPF. The condition of the school has gone from bad to worst since the workers are left without supply of oil and tools to keep the school compound manageable.

What can the school management do to help the workers who depended so much on their meager income to support their family? They have totally no future because when their contract expire these workers will be terminated. Is it not better to put the general workers as subordinates under the management of the school rather than asking someone to take care of the school which rightly belongs to the school management? Asking someone to look after the school management, not only create unnecessary problem but create conflict of interest between the contractor and the school management. It was proposed that these general workers be put under the school management and given better remunerations and absorbed in the pensionable scheme. I believe that with earnest commitment to help the poor general workers, a caring scheme can be arranged to ease the poverty-stricken workers .

Hundreds of these general workers are suffering in silence despite of their responsibilities to look after the cleanliness and security of the school but nothing is done to look after the welfare of these lowly paid workers. The security guards are working 12 hours a day contrary to the provision under the Employment Act 1955 which allows workers 8 working hours a day. It is obvious that the welfare of the contractors is more important than the general workers who are manipulated by political leaders for personal gain.

Attempts were made to forward this unnecessary project to the authority concern but monetary gain prevailed at the expense of public fund and the general workers suffer in silence. This issue was brought forward in meetings a few times with tremendous vote of no confidence to the project but to no avail. The exposure of these bad policies which is affecting the welfare and development of our country should be considered a constructive collective obligation for the betterment of our nation and should not be construed as an anti-government endeavor.

This is a call to BN leaders to think and amend purported and ridiculous policies which could be improved with alternative policies of a more dynamic orientation. This is just one classic examples of abused public fund that is happening which impedes the most needed development. We will expose the other stupid policies which are putting our nation at loss at the expense of public fund. This is done with deep realization and responsibilities in pursuit of the truth and justice in order to realize our vision, mission and goal.

UPKO POLITICIZING AND EXPLOITING THE PESTA KAAMATAN

Nobody knows exactly when and how the Kadazandusun evolved, though there are tales about Nunuk Ragang relating to the beginning of the Kadazandusun existence. It is interesting to note the struggle and survival of the Kadazandusun which remains a matter of concern particularly at this point in time where this meager race and culture is experiencing a likelihood of extinction due to revolutionary change. Attempts have been made to fix the broken pieces into one whole piece but there is no honest commitment to locate the missing pieces other than the attempts to attain personal gain and glory. Factors pertaining to workable approaches as well as leadership could be the major factors of failure.

The formation of KDCA (Kadazandusun Cultural Association) which is an attempt to unify the two broken pieces namely KCA and USDA were done without proper negotiation and consultation other than base on arrogance, personal glory and mere perception that has done more harm than good. UPKO today is not the version of UPKO who struggled for survival but eventually landed in Malaysia despite the strong opposition which leads to the formation of the 20 points agreement which is slowly erased from history. These are glances of striking examples of leadership and decision-making that eventually formed the status-quo of the Kadazandusun that we have to live with today.

The latest attempt by UPKO leadership to claim ownership of the Kadazandusun Pesta Kaamatan celebration 2008 is a desperate attempt and sheer ignorant of the sensitivity and feeling of the KDM community at large. Giving precondition to the Unduk Ngadau contestants to become an UPKO member is a total disregard of our cultural rights and blatant attempt to undermine and exploit the common heritage of our ancestor. UPKO as a political party who claim to champion the struggle of the Kadazandusun must not politicize the Pesta Kaamatan celebration which rightly belongs to Kadazandusun regardless of their ideology and political affiliation.

UPKO is just a political party which is still in the process of proving its worth because anybody can form a KDM party and declare ownership of our ancestral struggle which is certainly presumptuous and does not represent of the Kadazandusun community. PBS, PBRS and PASOK have other version of championing the Kadazandusun which could not be denied but no party has the right to declare ownership as we have not gone through the unification process that leaves no pieces unfix to the satisfaction of all Kadazandusun. I am optimistic there is a point where we can meet and patch up our differences and this is what we are looking for in the future. It is only a question of whether we want it or create a new version of Kadazandusun community. To accomplish our vision we need to SACRIFICE.
